BEFORE & AFTER

The Horns did all of the work themselves, including the installation of the cabinetry. They did a great job. My role in this job was design, helping them achieve the look they wanted and making suggestions on how a few changes could make things work better and provide better storage. Creating the "transom" look, where the top cabinets stack over the lower cabinets, with etched glass and lighting inside really gave their kitchen a unique look.
Woodard:

Her cabinets were really dark and in need of upgrading. She chose HomeCrest cabinetry in their Alpine painted look. There was barely enough room for the island, but that was something she really wanted rather than the peninsula that was there. The storage under the window in the dining area had been open and difficult to keep from looking cluttered. The use of lower height cabinets that fit under the window with a really nice countertop and closed doors made that area work really well.
All in all, we achieved a really brighter look, much better storage and she loves her island.
Myer:

This Divide area home has a wonderful soft rustic look. The most significant change was to the island and the pantry storage area as well as the use of Cherry cabinetry. The original cabinets were white thermofoil and not of high quality. The new cabinets are Dynasty by Omega, semi-custom and featuring the full extension, soft close drawers, and roll outs. Notice the use of diagonal corner cabinets on the island allowing for better movement around the island. We added more drawers and roll outs in the new tall cabinets.
Broughton:

We often run into the challenge of having a soffit that just cannot be removed because it is part of a cantilever and has a beam running thru it to support the exterior wall across the space. There are many ways to work around this situation. In this case it was her choice to leave the cabinets all the same 30” height so she could display her special items above. She gained a lot of look and storage with the diagonal appliance wall cabinet. Adding “rain” glass to the doors in both corners allows her to display more of her special items with less clarity than clear glass would have given her . Her Maple cabinets are Dynasty by Omega, and the door style is the Bancroft.
Helga:

Helga’s kitchen was probably the smallest of all my remodels and just NO room to grow it in any direction… BUT, it works. She now has the best looking and most efficient kitchen in her complex. The most unique thing was finding the decorative “tin” to put in the doors to match her existing cupboard. Those corner cabinets with the tin inserts completed the look she was trying the achieve. Helga’s cabinets are Maple, Ginger stain are are from HomeCrest Cabinetry out of Nebraska.
